Barry Ash

Director – Building Construction

Barry Ash serves as a Project Director in Raineri Construction’s Building Construction Division, where he is responsible for the overall performance, leadership, and success of multiple project teams. In this role, Barry ensures the successful execution of projects through exceptional client satisfaction, strong financial outcomes, and adherence to company standards and processes.

Barry provides strategic direction and hands-on leadership to project managers and superintendents, guiding teams from pre-construction through closeout. He plays a critical role in staffing, mentoring, and developing operations personnel, while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

 
A key strength of Barry’s leadership is his ability to build and maintain lasting relationships with clients, vendors, and trade partners. He actively participates in pre-construction activities, contract review, project planning, and decision-making to ensure projects are positioned for success from the outset. Barry also serves as a central escalation point for complex issues, providing decisive solutions that keep projects on track.

With more than 40 years of construction experience, Barry brings a deep and diverse background spanning multiple disciplines of general construction. His career includes successfully managing large-scale operations across multiple Midwest offices, overseeing hundreds of personnel, and delivering hundreds of millions of dollars in completed work.

Throughout his career, Barry has embraced the evolution of the construction industry, leveraging innovative technologies and modern processes to improve communication, streamline documentation, and enhance project delivery. He remains actively engaged with industry trends and continuously seeks opportunities to strengthen team capabilities and company performance.

In his spare time Barry enjoys preparing and sharing meals for others to enjoy.

Megan Blamy

Accounts Payable Accountant

Megan Blamy is relatively new to the construction industry, but she brings a strong background in retail and professional service management. Megan’s adaptability and initiative quickly translated to success in a new industry, and she currently serves as the Accounts Payable Accountant. With a focus on customer service, she assists both internal and external teams in understanding the specialized nature of construction payables, including subcontract and purchase order alignment with job cost systems.

 

Megan manages invoice workflows, performs monthly reconciliations, and actively works to resolve discrepancies to keep payables moving through the payment cycle. She plays a key role in maintaining vendor relationships, administering compliance documentation, and supporting project teams by ensuring that financial processes align with operational goals.

 

Known for her organization, responsiveness, and collaborative mindset, Megan consistently demonstrates a commitment to accuracy and follow-through. She is highly skilled in leveraging accounting systems and technology to streamline workflows, improve efficiency, and support company profitability. Through her attention to detail, proactive communication, and dedication to continuous improvement, Megan contributes meaningfully to the success of the finance team and the organization as a whole.

Ada Brown 

Ada Brown 

Vice President - Civil Construction

As Vice President of Civil Construction, Ada oversees the civil construction division within Raineri. He is responsible for the overall operations of civil construction and manages his team from a high level to ensure that all aspects of the division are running smoothly.  Ada is excellent at setting production goals and leading his team to achieving them. His client and trade partner relationships are the keys to the group’s success.  Ada is highly respected by his team and has an excellent reputation in the industry. 

Ada’s construction experience dates to 2003, when he moved from England to the St. Louis area. While completing his education with the Commercial Construction Estimating Institute, he worked in the industry as a project manager at a commercial general contracting firm and a specialty concrete subcontractor. Prior to entering the construction industry, he worked in the logistics field as an operations manager.

When not working, Ada enjoys bushcraft, off-grid hiking and camping, and European football.

Mark Elbert

Mark Elbert

Superintendent – Building Construction

With over 30 years of experience, Mark is one of the most seasoned members of the Raineri team. Mark’s friendly demeanor and confidence in his decision-making build team collaboration and provide peace of mind to his clients.

As a craftsman, Mark is a top-notch trim carpenter. His decades-long career has provided the insight into the inner-workings of a building project, which gives him the foundation to create and execute meaningful and practical project strategies.

Mark is OSHA 30 certified, and holds his project team, including all internal and external members, accountable for upholding project safety.

In his free time, Mark is an avid cave enthusiast.

Alex Carrizal

Assistant Project Manager -
Building Construction

Alex is a detail-oriented and highly organized Assistant Project Manager with hands-on experience in building construction and project delivery. He brings a strong understanding of project documentation, early-stage planning, and coordination across all phases of construction. Known for his ability to adapt and take on additional responsibilities, Alex thrives in transitional roles that bridge technical engineering with project management functions.

In his current role, Alex serves as a liaison between internal teams and external stakeholders including architects, subcontractors, and suppliers. He plays a critical role in maintaining project efficiency, ensuring compliance with contracts, and supporting timely communication across project teams. He is skilled in utilizing construction management systems and tools to support monthly reporting, scheduling, and overall project documentation. Alex consistently demonstrates proficiency in vendor procurement, change management, and safety compliance while keeping a close eye on quality control and cost-efficiency. Kim is a seasoned administrative professional with strong expertise in office operations, reporting, payroll support, and accounts payable/receivable. Highly organized and deadline‑driven, she is skilled in Microsoft Office, QuickBooks, and a variety of administrative tools. Kim excels at coordinating activities across teams, managing detailed workflows, and maintaining smooth day‑to‑day operations. Known for her reliability and efficiency, she brings exceptional problem‑solving and communication skills to every role.

Mike is a seasoned construction professional with over two decades of experience spanning project engineering, site supervision, and property management. Ed Hanks

Operations Manager – Civil Construction 

As Operations Manager of Civil Construction, Ed coordinates and oversees all the civil field teams, including superintendents, crew foreman, and field staff. Each day, Ed manages resource assignments based on the project productivity goals and ensures that all work is completed safely and aligns with company and project quality control requirements.

Ed is an excellent resource for Raineri and provides support and training to the field management staff in executing the Raineri processes as well as mentorship on how to identify and resolve project conflicts quickly and efficiently.

Ed has been with Raineri for over 10 years and is actively engaged in the implementation and use of the most current technology.  He is a dedicated member of the team and highly motivated for success. 

Chris Ortner

Chris Ortner

Operations Manager – Building Construction

As Operations Manager of Building Construction, Chris coordinates and oversees the safety program and the goals and expectations of Raineri field teams, including the superintendents and field staff. He is highly involved with project owners to ensure that all project objectives and milestones are met. His emphasis on a safe work environment has produced a Zero Lost Time incident rate during his tenure.

Chris’ background in civil engineering from the Army Corps of Engineers provided valuable experience that he’s applied to his work on the Raineri building operations team. Chris is certified in OSHA 30, Lead Awareness, and Respiratory Protection.

In his free time, Chris enjoys hunting, watching the Chiefs play football, and coaching his daughter’s softball team.

Jane Hatcher

PreConstruction Coordinator

Jane Hatcher is a highly experienced administrative professional with a career spanning over three decades across construction, healthcare, and customer service sectors. She is recognized for her exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to support complex projects from inception to completion.

Throughout her career, Jane has played a key role in coordinating project teams, managing documentation, and streamlining communication between stakeholders. Her responsibilities have included preparing contracts and change orders, overseeing bid processes, obtaining permits, and supporting financial operations. She is also certified as a Notary Public and a licensed drone pilot, adding unique capabilities to her professional toolkit.

Jane’s adaptability and commitment to excellence make her a trusted contributor in fast-paced environments. Her dedication to quality and efficiency continues to drive successful outcomes across the projects and teams she supports.

Damian Vinson

Assistant Superintendent – Building Construction

Damian has been in the trades since 2010 and started with Raineri in 2019. As both a hands-on tradesman in the field, and a manager overseeing a team, Damian has comprehensive experience sequencing and coordinating project schedules, resolving conflict, motivating his team, and overseeing site safety.

Damian’s proactive review of project scope and contract documents gives him significant insight and forethought into the project plan, and his use of technology to manage processes drives project success. Damian is OSHA 30 certified.

Bret Zlatnik

Senior Project Manager – Building Construction

Bret has spent three decades in the commercial construction industry in a variety of positions including Project Engineer, Estimator, Project Manager, Senior Project Manager, and Regional Manager. These positions provided him with a vast range of experience in preconstruction and construction management, field management and coordination, quality control, cost and budget management, and contract administration. 

His focus on each project he works on is communication, which he believes to be essential to team dynamics and a project’s successful completion. 

Bret’s experience spans a wide array of project types, including federal, multi-family, retail, and industrial. Throughout his tenure, Bret has been an adaptive user of new technologies, combining his extensive experience with the most up-to-date construction methods and resources.

Charles Haynes

Building Construction

Charles is a seasoned Superintendent with over 13 years of experience in the construction industry, specializing in project safety, site coordination, and team leadership, and a proven track record of overseeing the successful completion of large-scale commercial, historic, and infrastructure projects.

As Superintendent at Raineri Construction, Charles leads day-to-day operations on job sites, ensuring projects are delivery, timely, safely, and to the highest quality standards. He works closely with project managers, subcontractors, and stakeholders to maintain clear communication, resolve challenges, and meet client expectations. His attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to motivate teams make him an invaluable asset to the company.

Charles is passionate about fostering a culture of safety on the job site, and he emphasizes proactive planning and precise scheduling to minimize delays and optimize resource use. Tim Kile

Tim Kile

Assistant Project Manager – Civil Construction

Tim is a dedicated and detail-oriented construction professional at Raineri. After gaining experience on multiple successful projects working for another local firm, Tim started his career at Raineri as Project Engineer on the Civil Construction Operations team.   In 2022, Tim was promoted to Assistant Project Manager where he continues to further his experience and expand his knowledge. 

His jovial demeanor makes Tim an excellent fit with the company culture – he is very sociable and enjoyed by his co-workers.  Tim’s dedication to construction quality and safety makes him an asset to the team.

Prior to joining the Raineri team, he worked on the operations team at a large civil construction firm. Tim is OSHA 30 certified and MoDOT Certified in: Aggregate Technician, Soil Density, and Concrete Field/Advanced Concrete Strength. 

In his free time, Tim stays busy with his three kids and their sports and activities. He loves golf and barbecuing and is active in the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation community.

Russ Kreis serves as a Project Director for Raineri’s Building Construction Division, where he is responsible for leading multiple project teams and ensuring the successful delivery of projects, defined by exceptional client satisfaction and strong financial performance. In this role, Russ provides strategic oversight, direction, and mentorship to project managers and superintendents while fostering collaboration across all project stakeholders.

 
Russ joined Team Raineri in 2021 and quickly distinguished himself through his leadership, technical expertise, and commitment to team success. With over 25 years of experience in the construction industry as both a superintendent and project manager, he brings a deep understanding of building systems, construction methods, and project execution.


Known for his personable and collaborative approach, Russ excels at building strong relationships with clients, partners, and internal teams. He actively engages stakeholders in decision-making, helping drive value engineering solutions that maintain quality while supporting project goals. His ability to manage schedules, align teams, and proactively address challenges keeps projects moving forward efficiently and cohesively.

 
As Project Director, Russ plays a key role in developing talent, maintaining operational standards, and ensuring adherence to company processes across all project phases—from preconstruction through closeout. He is deeply committed to safety, holding OSHA 30 certification and consistently prioritizing safe jobsite practices.

Russ earned his education from the Milwaukee School of Engineering and continues to bring a forward-thinking, solutions-driven mindset to every project and team he leads.

 

Shaun Koenig

Shaun brings over 20 years of hands-on experience in residential and commercial construction, with a strong background in project management and superintendent roles. He has successfully overseen projects ranging from custom homes and renovations to large-scale multifamily developments valued at over $80 million. Throughout his career, Shaun has demonstrated expertise in coordinating subcontractors, managing schedules and budgets, ensuring quality control, and maintaining strict safety standards. His deep understanding of all phases of construction, combined with strong leadership and communication skills, allows him to deliver projects efficiently while maintaining high standards of craftsmanship and client satisfaction.
Kim Larson

Payroll and Compliance Manager

Kim serves as Raineri’s payroll and compliance manager. In this position, she is responsible for all internal payroll functions, including weekly employee payroll processing and reporting. She handles all certified payroll reporting and compliance, including review of subcontractors’ certified payroll reports for accuracy and compliance with Davis-Bacon and related federal and state requirements through verification of job classifications, wage and benefit rates and OSHA certification. 

Kim is also the dedicated contact for Raineri Construction to generate assistance and training to all subcontractors to ensure MBE, WBE, DBE & Section 3 compliance and monitoring is done appropriately. She is a vital part of the team who can always be relied upon to assist others. 

Kim’s construction industry experience spans the past 15+ years, and prior to that another 6+ years of accounting-related experience. After leaving a specialty subcontracting firm, Kim joined the Raineri team in 2012. Her superior work ethic and personable demeanor have allowed her to excel and tackle any challenges that may come her way. Subcontractor relationships are an important aspect of Kim’s role, and her prior experience working for a subcontractor provides the requisite insight to maintain quality relationships.

Adam Link

Project Manager – Building Construction

Adam Link is a results-driven construction leader with more than two decades of industry experience, known for building strong teams, delivering complex projects, and fostering lasting client relationships. As Project Director, Adam is responsible for the overall performance and success of multiple project teams, ensuring exceptional client satisfaction while driving profitable outcomes across the company’s building portfolio.


Adam’s leadership style is both approachable and decisive, enabling him to guide teams through complex challenges while maintaining alignment with client goals. He provides strategic oversight from preconstruction through closeout—reviewing contracts, establishing schedules, directing staffing, and proactively managing risk—to ensure each project is executed efficiently and to the highest standards.

 
Starting his career as a construction laborer, Adam developed a deep, hands-on understanding of building practices that continues to inform his leadership today. His practical experience allows him to quickly identify solutions that are both cost-effective and operationally sound. Over 20+ years, he has advanced through progressively responsible roles, building expertise in project management, team development, and operational performance.

 
In his current role, Adam serves as a key ambassador for the organization—cultivating relationships with clients, architects, and trade partners while mentoring project managers and superintendents. He leads with a focus on accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement, helping teams adhere to best practices in contract management, cost control, scheduling, quality, and project closeout.

Adam holds a bachelor’s degree in management and is OSHA 10 certified.

Charles Mashek

Charles (CJ) Mashek

Assistant Superintendent – Building Construction

Having been with Raineri since 2011, CJ started his career as a field carpenter and earned advancement to superintendent. With a solid base of extensive field experience under his belt, CJ understands the complicated process of sequencing building construction and applies that knowledge to the projects under his management. He easily adapts to new technologies that help him build his projects more efficiently and keep his clients in the loop about project progress.

CJ is a friendly face on every jobsite that he’s involved in and makes the construction process as smooth as possible for his clients. His amenable personality keeps the team in sync to move his projects to successful completion.

CJ is OSHA 30 certified and stays on top of safety on all his jobsites to ensure everyone makes it home safe every day.

Vaughn Mashek

Vaughn Mashek

Superintendent – Building Construction

Vaughn has more than two decades of experience scheduling, coordinating, and managing daily construction activities for various commercial and multifamily residential projects.  At Raineri, he ensures projects meet established completion dates and construction documents, while consistently analyzing and monitoring quality control. 

Vaughn is the most tenured member of the Raineri team, having been around almost from the beginning, and has grown with the company, starting as a carpenter, and transitioning into the superintendent role.  Vaughn adapts easily to the use of advanced technology that is a key component of the Raineri approach. He is well liked by his co-workers and project team members and leads by example to everyone around him. 

Vaughn is certified in OSHA 30, Respiratory Protection, CPR, Aerial Lift operation, and Lull/Forklift operation.

In his free time, Vaughn enjoys spending time with his family and is always tinkering on various personal projects.


Fun fact: twins run in Vaughn’s family – not only does he have a twin brother, but he also has twin sons.

Tara Miley

Project Manager -
Building Construction

Tara holds a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management and has been in the construction industry her entire career, starting as an intern in college, and then working in Assistant Project Manager and Project Manager roles for the past 15+ years. Tara joined Team Raineri in 2023, and immediately earned accolades from her clients and colleagues for her organization, efficiency, and overall management of her projects. 

Tara is well-versed in construction management systems, including Procore, Bluebeam, and Vista, and maximizes the use of technology for project documentation and communication. Her collaborative nature allows her to build solid relationships with clients and vendors, which leads to successful project completion.

Tara’s project experience includes retail, state and municipal, multi-family, and hospitality. Fun fact: While in college, Tara worked as an intern on ABC’s Extreme Makeover Home Edition.

Bob Moske

Bob Moske

Pre-Construction Estimator – Building Construction 

With an impressive 38 years of experience under his belt, Bob is a seasoned pre-construction estimator who has been involved in a multitude of project types. In his role, Bob performs detailed quantity take-offs for the scheduled work, estimates self-perform tasks, and garners participation from the subcontractor community.  Bob’s involvement in a project begins early on with a conceptual cost analysis, through to development of a final estimate and continues throughout the project procurement to ensure successful execution.

Bob has a plethora of experience working with project owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to identify and resolve technical matters during the design and estimating phase of a project, allowing for a smooth transition to the operations team.

In his free time, Bob enjoys spending time watching his two daughters play high school sports.

Brian Moore

Safety and Manpower Manager

Brian is a seasoned professional with over 30 years of experience in the construction industry. Having started his career as a Carpenter on residential projects while as a teenager, Brian steadily advanced through various roles including architectural designer, project management, estimating, and site supervisor, before transitioning into his current role as a Safety and Manpower Manager.

Brian’s extensive hands-on experience in diverse construction environments gives him an excellent understanding of the risks and challenges inherent to the industry. His in-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations and industry best practices makes him a respected leader in workplace safety.

As a Safety Manager, Brian is committed to creating a culture of safety. Known for his approachable demeanor, he fosters open communication among team members, encouraging workers to prioritize safety and report potential hazards without hesitation.

Rachel Todd

Document Control Manager

As Document Control Manager, Rachel serves as the operational backbone of the company by overseeing the project engineering team, and through training and implementation of Raineri’s processes and procedures across the project operations team. In addition to this, she creates and manages project workflows to ensure tasks are being completed with a high level of efficiency and in accordance with project schedules. Her responsibilities include review of all external vendor commitments and change orders for compliance against the company’s policy and procedures, internal process and procedure review and improvement plan creation to improve workflow and create clear project goals for the team. Rachel also trains current and new employees on company software including Procore and Vista and creates and maintains global reporting across all projects for timely completion and issue resolution.

Rachel’s construction industry experience spans the past nine years, and prior to that another three years of management and accounting experience. Rachel’s keen eye for detail allows her to manage any task not only correctly, but efficiently & effectively. Rachel makes it a priority to create and maintain a lifelong relationship with coworkers, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.

Chad Reed

As Project Superintendent, Chad oversees all aspects of project planning and execution and brings over two decades of construction experience to the team.  His dedication and integrity instill a sense of trust with all of his clients, co-workers, and trade partners.

Chad’s comprehensive industry knowledge ranges from contract management, project accounting and cost control, to a vast array of experience in construction means and methods of project delivery.  Prior to joining Raineri, Chad owned and operated a commercial general contracting company.  Chad initially studied accounting but later realized that construction brought a sense of accomplishment with every project that he touched, but the foundational knowledge gained in his early studies provided a clear advantage in his understanding and ability to control project costs.

Chad enjoys utilizing the best technology in the industry to its fullest extent.  He is also a great team builder and maintains very close relationships with his co-workers and industry peers.

In his free time, Chad enjoys playing disc golf with his sons.

Meg Moore

Business Development Manager

Megan Moore is a seasoned business development and sales professional with more than 13 years of experience driving growth, building strategic partnerships, and managing cross-functional relationships. Her background spans business development, sales engineering, and team leadership, with a strong focus on connecting clients, manufacturers, and internal teams to deliver efficient, profitable outcomes. She is highly skilled in cultivating client relationships, expanding new and existing territories, and positioning products and services through consultative engagement.

Throughout her career, Megan has held roles where she has consistently led new business initiatives, coordinated complex projects, and served as a key liaison between stakeholders. Most recently, she has worked closely with architects, designers, and end-users to develop partnerships and generate new opportunities, supported by a strong network and active industry involvement. Her earlier experience includes managing large sales territories, selling technical products, and providing exceptional customer service, all while maintaining a reputation for professionalism, responsiveness, and results-driven performance.

Michelle Ortner

Assistant Controller

Michelle Ortner brings a well-rounded background in both construction operations and financial management to her role as Assistant Controller. She began her career working in her family’s construction business, where she developed a strong foundation in construction administration and accounting practices.

After earning her teaching degree, Michelle spent several years teaching 5th grade math, further strengthening her analytical mindset and communication skills. She returned to the construction industry in 2022, joining Team Raineri as a Project Coordinator, where her aptitude for numbers and processes quickly led her to transition into an accounting role.

In her progression to Assistant Controller, Michelle now plays a key leadership role in managing the company’s financial operations. She supports general ledger management, financial reporting, and month- and year-end close processes, while overseeing accounts payable functions and ensuring accuracy and timeliness across all financial activities.

Michelle is deeply involved in maintaining strong financial controls, reconciling accounts, managing banking transactions, and supporting audits. She also supervises and develops accounting staff, contributes to system improvements, and ensures that processes align with company goals and industry best practices.

Known for her attention to detail, organization, and collaborative approach, Michelle excels at balancing technical accounting responsibilities with team leadership. Her ability to streamline processes, train staff and vendors, and communicate effectively across departments helps keep the accounting function running efficiently and supports the company’s continued growth.

Bradley Plein

Director – Human Resources

Brad is a dynamic member of the Raineri team.  His primary function is Human Resources, where he focuses on recruitment, onboarding, employee benefits, and staff engagement & retention.  He also serves as in-house IT support for all things tech-related and takes the lead on planning epic Raineri company functions throughout the year.  He brings three decades of experience in talent management, team leadership, recruitment, retention, marketing, and sales to our team.

Prior to joining Raineri, Brad spent over a decade as a Regional Manager for a large global manufacturer, where he led a team of eight managers and 720 associates, across 17 states. In this role, he earned over a dozen sales and management awards.

Bradley enjoys being active in his community and has assisted local non-profit organizations in both a board member and volunteer capacity.

As a founding partner and President, Ashley has built the company to be a technology-driven organization, focusing on operational efficiencies, industry-leading processes, and solid financial controls and reporting.  Under her leadership, Raineri Construction has become one of the most highly respected and financially responsible businesses in the industry with an unrivaled financial capacity for such a young company.

Ashley is a firm believer in always learning and growing and investing her time in continuing education.  In 2015, Ashley earned the Certified Construction Industry Financial Professional (CCIFP®) designation, an accreditation of specialized knowledge for a Financial Manager working in the construction field. She continues to build her knowledge and growth through active participation in the Construction Finance Management Association (CFMA).

Ashley is an avid dog lover and gives back to the animal rescue community through her involvement with Stray Rescue of St. Louis. She believes in supporting her community, and has done so by serving as a board member on local commercial district organizations, including as a founding member of the Macklind Business District.

In her free time, Ashley enjoys reading, bicycling, and spending time with her husband and their dogs.

Anthony (Tony) Raineri

Executive Vice President

As a principal partner and the Executive Vice President for Raineri Construction, Tony is responsible for creating and implementing the processes and procedures that drive the pre-construction, project management, equipment management and field operations aspects of the business.  Tony also pursues, develops, and negotiates new business, and has an ongoing list of client and trade partner relationships that he maintains.

Tony co-founded Raineri Construction in 2003 with a focus on creating a creative, efficient, and effective construction firm. With an emphasis on technology, he has developed strong and successful relationships within the industry and Raineri is currently leading the market in strategic growth and cost control.

Under Tony’s direction, the company has continued to evolve into a multi-faceted construction firm with a wide variety of project experience.

Tony is an avid aviation enthusiast and private pilot and enjoys playing ice hockey, running, and spending time at the Lake with his Wife and dogs.

Michael Riehl

Senior Pre-Construction Estimator – Building Construction

As the Senior Preconstruction Estimator, Mike brings an in-depth understanding of client needs, excellent experience seeing an estimate through to completion, and team resource requirement analysis to Raineri. Mike uses interpersonal and communication skills daily as he navigates between gathering information from clients and team members. He is one of the first points of contact in a project and is essential in developing the bid estimate, determining and communicating risks within contracts, analyzing resource needs, and ensuring that the transition to the Project Manager is seamless.

Mike possesses over three decades of experience in the residential and commercial building industry.  He is familiar with the construction process from initial design through estimation and bid acquisition, material procurement and logistics to scheduling of crews and coordination of architects, engineers, and inspectors.

Mike likes to travel, catch Cards and Blues games, and enjoys trivia nights.

Rachel Simon

Project Engineer – Building Construction

Rachel is an experienced project engineer in the construction industry and brought her skillset to Raineri in 2019.

Prior to joining the team, Rachel worked for a commercial building firm where she managed multi-million-dollar projects for several apartment developments, retirement communities, numerous tenant improvements, and industrial renovations. In this role, she was responsible for managing and maintaining project documentation, monitoring quality control, updating plans, and procuring materials. 

Rachel also worked as a project engineer and project controls coordinator on a local joint venture that completed the $550 million WUMC BJC Campus renewal project. 

Rachel holds a master’s degree in construction management from Washington University, St. Louis and is OSHA 30 certified. 

In her free time, Rachel enjoys working out. 

Brandi Sherwood

Brandi Sherwood is a dedicated Project Engineer who started with Raineri in 2023. In her role as a Project Engineer, Brandi exhibits an exceptional ability to coordinate cross-functional teams, ensuring that all aspects of project development are executed efficiently and effectively. Her experience encompasses various sectors within the engineering field, enabling her to adapt to diverse project requirements and to apply her knowledge in a practical context. Brandi’s strong analytical skills allow her to assess project risks, foresee challenges, and develop strategic solutions that mitigate potential issues before they arise.

Brandi has successfully coordinated numerous projects, each marked by a commitment to quality and a focus on sustainable practices. On the Raineri team she has excelled at managing project timelines, communication with architects, contractors and subcontractors to ensure successful completion of many projects.

Billy Smith

Assistant Controller

Billy joined Raineri Construction with 15 years of financial experience. His background in financial research and analysis, with an emphasis on client relationships, makes him an invaluable asset to the Raineri accounting team. Billy is a team player who utilizes a straightforward and honest communication style in every interaction, which is critical in the highly complex process of construction accounting. 

Prior to Raineri, Billy served as an Assistant Vice President and Commercial Loan Officer for a regional bank, managing a portfolio of over 30 million dollars. His big picture mindset allowed him to successfully assist clients with their business operations. Billy brings the business acumen and analytical skills he honed as a Senior Financial Analyst managing over 100 million dollar-loan portfolios to Raineri projects, and its clients benefit from his problem-solving and critical thinking skills as he assists them in navigating the accounting aspect of their projects. 

Sam Talley

Civil Construction

Sam joined Team Raineri in 2022 as a member of the civil field staff, and his team leadership, work ethic, and technical expertise quickly elevated him to becoming part of the management team as Superintendent.

Sam works collaboratively with the entire civil team, coordinating crews and subcontractors, procuring materials, and monitoring project quality and safety, while adhering to project schedules and budgets.

Sam’s communication skills and abilities to work through day-to-day challenges make him a critical component of the project operations team.

His expertise spans ground-up builds, renovations, and historical restorations, with a strong emphasis on quality, safety, and client satisfaction.

With a background in Construction Management and a passion for craftsmanship, Jeffrey continues to drive excellence in every project he undertakes.

Blake Theodore

Project Engineer -
Civil Construction

Blake is a civil drafter with a solid background in construction and surveying. He graduated from Missouri State University with a degree in Construction Management and has been hands-on in the field ever since. Before joining our team, Blake worked on everything from topographic and ALTA surveys to residential site plans and sewer extensions, making sure projects are accurate and ready to go. 

Blake gained experience in project coordination while at Mercury Communications and concrete construction with Prosperiti Partners. He’s also spent time surveying properties and leading landscaping crews, which helped shape his strong work ethic and team-first mindset.

He’s skilled at interpreting plans, taking direction, and executing tasks efficiently—whether it’s building out structures, finishing interiors, or jumping in wherever he’s needed. Tony’s practical knowledge and adaptability make him a valuable asset to any crew, and his willingness to travel and take on new challenges speaks to his dedication.
